family feet

August 5, 2011
The most random post about family, feet and fur:
I love my little family. Sweet little Ginger is the cutest little puppy and I love holding her in my lap, even though half the time she tries to jump off and go fetch a toy. I try so hard to make her a lap dog!
Doesn’t Ginger sit funny? She’s so silly!
It’s hard to believe that Matthew and I {and Ginger!} are moving out of our first apartment this weekend. I remember when Matthew found out he was transferring jobs and moving down. I helped him look for apartments when I got off work from the law firm and I happened to find him the most perfect one..less than a block away from my parents house! He loved it though and for the past year and 10 months it’s been his home, and for the past 3 months it’s been ours. We’ve had dance parties, dinner parties and holiday parties, not to mention two adorable Christmas trees. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye and close the door. I just have to remember how exciting it will be to move into our first real place together, unpack, settle in, and decorate. We have so many more memories to make in the new apartment and I couldn’t be more excited!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Send some good thoughts our way as we pack up and move out. I’m already an emotional mess! haha

top ten from ’10

December 31, 2010
This has been one amazing and incredible year! I’m a little sad 2010 is ending but I am ridiculously excited for 2011. There are so many great things ahead..like getting married!
Here are my top ten highlights from 2010 in order by month:
Last December 31/January 1st Matthew and I rang in the new year together for the first time!
{the year before I was sick in bed}
We also went to New York City which was so fun! We ate so much great food and explored the city.
In February my grandma came into town to see me and my mom, and the three of us had a fun couple days in Santa Barbara.
In March Matthew and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary over yummy Thai food.
And Hanna and I had a little girls weekend at Elizabeth’s in San Diego!
In April Matthew and I went down to San Diego, had an adventure, and spent time with his sweet family.
Matthew also won me a stuffed animal at a carnival!
In May we adopted our little Ginger Bear! Look at how tiny she was..sigh I miss those days!
In June I celebrated my birthday over cupcakes with my boyfriend!
In July Matthew and I had the incredible opportunity to shoot with Jose Villa. Love these photos!
In August I went to Las Vegas to celebrate my best friend Lizzie’s birthday! I love our girl time.
In September Matthew got down on one knee and I cried my eyes out! {and said yes of course!}
In October my mom and I flew to Pittsburgh to celebrate my Grandma’s 86th birthday
Matthew and I also had a fun little Halloween party with our Gigi Bee!
In December we got into our best 60s attire and went to a Mad Men themed holiday party!
Oh, 2010, thank you for being so good to me! I think I included more than 10 things but it was hard to narrow them down. I can’t wait for what lies ahead in 2011!!
Tonight we are ringing in the new year with some close friends.
It’s going to be pretty laid back, but perfect!
Happy New Years Eve everyone!!
Thank you all for being such a wonderful part of my year!

i heart date nights

November 8, 2010

I love when Matthew and I have date nights! It’s something we can both look forward to all week. It seems like we haven’t been out to dinner in awhile since last weekend we were busy with Halloween and the week before that I was in Pittsburgh. So this was much needed! Matthew had a Blackboard Eats deal for a sushi place around Mid Wilshire. The staff was so friendly- they gave us a free little appetizer of okra with ponzu sauce, funny key chains and took a “Polaroid” photo of us to put on their wall. It was really sweet! Buuut with that being said {and to be honest}, it wasn’t the best food and I probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Unless, of course, you had a coupon for 30% off like we did! It was still have to have a little night out though!
When we were leaving the manager said, “See you Tuesday!” which made us think maybe he had us confused with someone else! But then a waiter walked by while we were almost out the door and said, “See you tomorrow!,” so I guess they were just being friendly!

This time change is nice on one hand because you get an extra hour of sleep, but if you stay up late {like I normally do!} it doesn’t make a difference! I’m determined to get to bed early and catch up on emails and blogs tomorrow! Did any of you forget about to “fall back” your clocks? I usually do!
