Life has been a little challenging lately, in big ways and also small ways. I think the biggest change has been being a parent. You’d think that almost 20 months in, things would be getting easier. While in some ways it has, in other ways, it’s a little harder. Yes, Augustine is sleeping through the night more regularly, but he’s a busy little adventurer during the day. By the time I put him to sleep, I’m exhausted too, and a little overwhelmed thinking about the things I need to do. Over the past few months, though, I’ve been making some changes that have made a difference. I thought it might be helpful to share the 5 ways I’m making my life a little easier, in case any of you are similarly feeling caught up in a state of overwhelm. Hopefully, these tips help and inspire you!

Happy Friday friends! I hope you’ve had a good week! This weekend one of my best friend’s Pauline is coming to stay with us and I can’t wait. I’m kicking Matthew out {jk he’s going on a camping trip!}, so it’s just going to be us girls…and Augustine of course! I can’t wait to show her around our beach town and have a fun night in with a TBD dinner {maybe homemade pizza?} and some wine. It’s been too long since we’ve seen each other so it will be really nice to catch up. Love a girls weekend!
Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day Gift Guide that I hope you’ll find helpful when shopping for your mom! After my post on Wednesday, I wanted to share some other gift ideas with you. Besides that tortoise cuff I mentioned, which is a definite winner in my book, I love these items here. This floral wallet is such a great update for spring, and I’ve been obsessed with this perfume {seriously can’t stop thinking about it!}. Mamas need me time and sleep, so these bath salts and this silk eye mask would be a great combo gift! If your mama is into coffee, upgrade her French Press situation with this copper version. So good, right?! And I love a marble cheese board, especially with the wood detailing. You could even bring some fresh cheeses over with it {these are some of my favorite cheeses!} and maybe a bottle of wine!
What are your go-to gift ideas for your mom? One of the things I love to do is take my mom to lunch or tea. It’s so nice to have that one-on-one time and it reminds me of the tea parties we had when I was little. We’ll probably have to leave the American Girl dolls at home though! Even if you can’t buy a gift, I think the time spent together is the best gift of all. So cliche I know, but after having Augustine I totally believe it! Honestly, all I want is a hug, an I Love You, and a fun adventure. I swear!
By the way, I’m uploading a ton of clothes to Poshmark today! If you buy anything, let me know in the comments that you’re a reader and I’ll throw something in special for you. Most of the items are very lightly worn, and some even have tags on them still. Also, I know I’ve mentioned it before but considering that some of these items were from projects, I donate a portion to charity. I’ve been loving supporting St. Jude’s but I’m always interested in non-profits and organizations you all love. Let me know if there’s one I should look into donating to next!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for reading!
Can you all believe that Mother’s Day is coming up?! Don’t forget ok? Mother’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to shop for. I love picking out sweet gifts for my mom and mother-in-law, and especially since I’m now a mom, I recognize how important this day is. I love Mother’s Day because it’s a day to truly honor the women in our lives who have helped shape us into who we are today. Whether it’s a mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, or aunt, I’m sure you all have an influential female in your life who has guided you over the years, served as your sounding board, your cheerleader, and your role model. Today I’m sharing the secret to a perfect Mother’s Day gift in case you’re looking for something special! I’m also sharing some of my favorite things about my mom, including the thing that impresses me so much about her! This is the one thing I think every parent wants to achieve but it’s not always possible.
