Matthew and I celebrated Labor Day by relaxing in the ultimate way..with a picnic! I honestly haven’t done it in years and it was probably the perfect day for it. It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold..as Goldilocks once said “it was juust right!” We laid out on our blanket, read books, played guitar, ate Thin Mints and Pirate’s Booty, and took a million pictures of our regal princess Ginger Bear.
Somewhat related side note: Today marks our two and a half year anniversary!! It almost seems like just yesterday that we met, but it also feels like years and years ago. It’s definitely an exciting time and I’m so looking forward to everything we have ahead of us!
Matthew started his new job today and, by the text I received, it’s going well! First days are always the worst. For me, I get so nervous and just wish I could be a couple months in already- with a nice routine and work friends. This weekend was busy so unfortunately we didn’t make it to IKEA or the Rose Bowl flea market. I helped Matthew move stuff into his new place on Friday and then we went to get sushi for dinner. It’s going to be hard to find a place that replaces Zushi…actually impossible. But it was still good! Saturday we organized, built the bed, and set up the kitchen. Sunday Matthew and I helped my mom clean out the garage. It is a mess!
I can’t wait to share pictures of Matthew’s new place! Maybe I just like it so much because it’s so close to me! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. I wish I got today (Columbus Day) off! The weather is perfect for sleeping in and drinking tea!
I had the most wonderful weekend with Matthew in SF…except for the cold I picked up along the way. So now I am in LA, lonely, missing my boyfriend and feeling crappy. I just have to remember what a great time we had. Friday night he picked me up from the airport with roses! It was so sweet and unexpected. Well, actually I don’t know if the last part is true. I definitely had an inkling of a feeling something was going on when he told me he had to run some errands before he picked me up. But of course I didn’t want to jump to any conclusions. Pictures to post tonight including zushi, the perfect drink and some randoms. xox
