Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays! For obvious reasons – it’s all about romance, chocolate, flowers, and all the red and pink! I always look forward to decorating for Valentine’s Day and even though we just do simple touches throughout the house, it does make a big difference. After the Christmas and New Years holidays, our house tends to look a little bare, so sprucing it up for VDay makes me happy! Plus it gives me a fun project for dreary Januarys, when I’m feeling the winter blues. Today I’m sharing some of the ways we’re decorating for Valentine’s Day!

Matthew and I are so lucky to be able to take some time off between Christmas and New Year’s Day this year! We try to take as much time as we can during the holidays to spend with friends and family and find some fun things to do in SoCal. We also like to use the time to take care of some things around the house, but planning a few fun outings is a must. We have family in Los Angeles and San Diego that we’re planning on visiting, so I’ve rounded up some fun things to do in SoCal between the holidays!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, this time of year is BUSY! Busy in the best of ways {picking out a Christmas tree, baking cookies, spending time with family}, but also the worst of ways {addressing a million holiday cards, bracing yourself for mall shopping trips, and dealing with all the traffic}. This holiday season has felt especially busy around here since we’re working on several home projects and I’m also pregnant, not feeling like I have as much energy as normal. Oh yeah, and there’s a cute little toddler I’m chasing around all day long! Needless to say, shopping for holiday outfits has been the last thing on my radar. But I really need to think about it because nothing fits my bump right now! I have a tip for creating easy holiday outfits though that is incredibly stress-free. I hope this tip helps you as much as it’s been helping me!
