I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, this time of year is BUSY! Busy in the best of ways {picking out a Christmas tree, baking cookies, spending time with family}, but also the worst of ways {addressing a million holiday cards, bracing yourself for mall shopping trips, and dealing with all the traffic}. This holiday season has felt especially busy around here since we’re working on several home projects and I’m also pregnant, not feeling like I have as much energy as normal. Oh yeah, and there’s a cute little toddler I’m chasing around all day long! Needless to say, shopping for holiday outfits has been the last thing on my radar. But I really need to think about it because nothing fits my bump right now! I have a tip for creating easy holiday outfits though that is incredibly stress-free. I hope this tip helps you as much as it’s been helping me!

A Tip for Creating Easy Holiday Outfits

You all know about my love for Trunk Club. It’s a service I have relied on several times over the past year, actually using it for the first time last holiday season! I have a dedicated stylist with Trunk Club who just totally gets me and my style. The other day, in between stressing over a last minute project and realizing I have two holiday parties coming up, I messaged my stylist Carolyn to put a Trunk together for me. Before the end of the day, she had a curated selection that was perfect for me- all bump friendly but not maternity specific. I made a couple modifications and additional requests {sorry Carolyn – I just really wanted a red dress!}, and then my Trunk was on its way. I was able to go through everything at home {no mall, no crowds, no stress}, and I kept what I liked and sent back what I didn’t.

As a reminder, Trunk Club has a $25 styling fee but that’s credited toward whatever you purchase, and waived if you have a Nordstrom card. Shipping/Returns are free and it’s just the easiest way to shop. I loved that Carolyn was able to create some easy holiday outfits for me that I know I can wear all December long, and even into February {Valentine’s Day anyone??}.

One of my favorite items from my Trunk definitely included the pretty red dress. The material is thick, soft and stretchy and I love how it twirls! She also included these adorable knee-high boots and I’ve been needing a new pair. Plus, this green floral dress with the sash is so unique and special looking. I have a feeling I would wear it for years to come!

I am always looking for cozy sweaters and this one is SO SOFT! I love how it can be belted around the waist too. Lately I’ve been living in leggings so I got the best of the best when it comes to maternity leggings. These leggings totally hold you in so they’re very flattering, plus they’re just the right thickness to keep you warm! If you haven’t tried a pair, I’d definitely recommend it. They also come in maternity!

I hope this post is helpful for any of you needing some holiday outfit help! Remember, Trunk Club has an awesome app too that where your stylist can send outfit combinations, with items from your closet or from your Trunks. While I love putting outfits together for myself, I also love to brainstorm with someone else who loves fashion as much as I do. My stylist Carolyn comes up with some combos I might not have thought about myself, plus she inspires me to try new styles. She lets me step out of my comfort zone just enough so that it’s still fun and not overwhelming. If you haven’t already, get started with Trunk Club here!

Happy Holidays everyone!
