Happy Monday friends! I’m totally in shock that next Monday is Memorial Day! This year is flying for you too, right?? I love the summer months, though, because it’s the perfect opportunity to wear some of my favorite patriotic colors: red, white and blue! I wanted to give you some Memorial Day fashion inspiration that doesn’t scream Memorial Day fashion inspiration. I thought by sticking with two of the go-to colors, I’d fit in a little more naturally. So here’s a blue and white outfit that is made for Memorial Day, and summer in general! I love this wrap style with the pretty gingham print and the flowy, ruffled hem. I would for sure wear this pretty dress to any patriotic holiday, but also any backyard bbq or summer party that comes up in between!

Happy Friday friends! I hope you’ve had a good week! This weekend one of my best friend’s Pauline is coming to stay with us and I can’t wait. I’m kicking Matthew out {jk he’s going on a camping trip!}, so it’s just going to be us girls…and Augustine of course! I can’t wait to show her around our beach town and have a fun night in with a TBD dinner {maybe homemade pizza?} and some wine. It’s been too long since we’ve seen each other so it will be really nice to catch up. Love a girls weekend!
Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day Gift Guide that I hope you’ll find helpful when shopping for your mom! After my post on Wednesday, I wanted to share some other gift ideas with you. Besides that tortoise cuff I mentioned, which is a definite winner in my book, I love these items here. This floral wallet is such a great update for spring, and I’ve been obsessed with this perfume {seriously can’t stop thinking about it!}. Mamas need me time and sleep, so these bath salts and this silk eye mask would be a great combo gift! If your mama is into coffee, upgrade her French Press situation with this copper version. So good, right?! And I love a marble cheese board, especially with the wood detailing. You could even bring some fresh cheeses over with it {these are some of my favorite cheeses!} and maybe a bottle of wine!
What are your go-to gift ideas for your mom? One of the things I love to do is take my mom to lunch or tea. It’s so nice to have that one-on-one time and it reminds me of the tea parties we had when I was little. We’ll probably have to leave the American Girl dolls at home though! Even if you can’t buy a gift, I think the time spent together is the best gift of all. So cliche I know, but after having Augustine I totally believe it! Honestly, all I want is a hug, an I Love You, and a fun adventure. I swear!
