Over here in Southern California we’re getting ready for a rainy winter! I always love rain, especially when I can stay inside with comfy blankets and a good book. However, more often than not, I’m out and about getting soaked! I put together some rainy day essentials that will be perfect for the El Niño season ahead!
If you haven’t realized by now, I am a holiday fanatic. I love everything about this season from the weather to the tinsel on my tree! My favorite part of the season, however, is spending time with my family and friends, especially when it involves food and… WINE! We are definitely the type of family that loves to eat, drink, and be merry! Even though I’ve grown up around great food and wine, I can relate to the pressure that comes with walking down the wine aisles trying to find the perfect bottle for your guests or hostess. No fear my dears, I am here to help! I recently took a visit to one of my favorite downtown Italian restaurants, Terroni, to meet with a wine expert and dear friend about the best holiday wines for our tables.
Living in Los Angeles, you get used to seeing celebrities all over the city, in casual clothes, with their dogs, shopping at the grocery stores, and sitting across from you at your neighborhood sushi restaurant. You almost become oblivious to it, until you see the paparazzi. I don’t really get star struck anymore, but I remember the other year sitting in a room of about 200 women, absolutely captivated by one celebrity in particular.
