hey pink

May 8, 2014
I can’t deny it. I’m a pink girl. It’s a color that makes me so happy, whether it’s in an outfit, a pair of shoes, in home decor, or even in my food {hello pink smoothies!}. I think it’s always been that way too. I had pink bedroom sheets when I was younger, pink storage pins in college and even now I have at least a handful of pink tops and dresses. If pink makes you a little nervous, though, try it more subtly as a lipstick choice, a scarf accent, or even as an iPhone battery charger. You’ll totally fall in love! These options above {and below!} are some of my favorite pink-hued items. Let me know if you have a favorite!

shades of pink

April 11, 2014
I’m not one to shy away from monochromatic looks. I’ve worn head to toe blue before {aand mint!}, and while this isn’t completely all pink, it is pretty close. The jacket is a pale pink and the top isn’t white, so it might as well be pink. Am I right?! In retrospect I could have gone pink crazy here with a pink pair of sunglasses & a pink purse but eh let’s call this one almost monochromatic and I’ll take a shot at it again another day. You know I have lots o’ pink to work with!

What are you guys up to this weekend? Matthew’s family is coming up tomorrow from San Diego to see our place which will be fun. It’s not even close to being done {or started!} but it will be nice for them to see it. If the weather is nice I’m hoping Matthew and I can go on a bike ride too. Even if it’s just around the neighborhood. We have so much to explore still!
See you Monday, everyone!!

pink chinos

March 26, 2014
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you might notice a penchant for certain brands and retailers. Anthropologie has been at the very top of my list for so long now. I fall in love with their lookbooks each month, pine after all the beautiful dresses, and have planned my home around their housewares section. I luckily {and dangerously} live 5 minutes away from Anthro. So when I’m having a bad day, I’ll often just go into the store to walk around and smell the candles. It immediately makes me feel ten times better! I’ve even fantacized about getting a part-time job there {on top of my full-time job and full-time blog}. It’s especially silly considering I wouldn’t get paid; my paychecks would immediately go towards all the things I’ve bought. Anyways, long story short I love the brand so I am so incredibly, pinch-me, excited to be be working with Anthropolgie on styling their Hyphen pants. I love the relaxed fit of this chino and it’s so fun {and me!} in this pale pink color. I paired it with this white embroidered blouse, but I can see it looking amazing with stripes, chambray or even an olive-colored blouse!

Check out my outfit, along with some other bloggers, on Anthropologie’s blog! It’s always fun to see how other people style the same item. I have so many fun outfit ideas for these pants now!
