As the weather gets warmer it gets more difficult to layer and accessorize. However, we’re at this great stage in LA where a little extra layer can go a long way when you need it. This white vest is such an easy layering piece and I love it paired with this red dress. It looks effortless unzipped and open, like a denim jacket but without sleeves. I think I might be liking this whole vest trend you guys! What do you think?
Have a great Wednesday everyone! I’m off to Seattle later tonight on a red eye flight. It’s going to be a short little trip but I’m excited to be back in the city where I spent my first two years of college. It’s crazy how long ago that seems, and yet at the same time it seems like yesterday!
Do you remember back in April when I was diagnosed with that virus? I caught that serious epidemic that resulted in major polka dots all over my clothes? Yeah, well the doctors say I still have it. I guess it’s not going away anytime too soon because this time it hit me in threes!
I’m so excited for the long weekend! Mine is going to be extra long because Matthew and I are going to Portland for a few days next week! I love my husband because he’s so spontaneous sometimes! We both have been dying to make a trip up to Portland and when he saw this insane deal he jumped on it. I went to school in Seattle for two years and never made it down to Oregon, but I’m so excited to explore this city with Matthew. It’s supposed to be weird, just like us 🙂 If you know of any good recommendations let me know! We’re trying to fit in the best places during our short trip. I know we’ll be back though!

Welcome to M Loves M! My name is Mara and I created this lifestyle site in 2009 as a place to share my love of fashion, beauty, food and entertaining. I moved from Southern California to Idaho and love adventuring with my husband Matthew, our two children, and our dog Ginger. We're also pregnant with baby #3, due this autumn! I strive to create a site that’s relatable to women, while also being inspirational. I’m so glad you stopped by!
