When I was in college I was turned onto bareMinerals by one of my friends. She had the most gorgeous complexion and when I asked her what she used she swore she owed it all to their mineral powder. Since then I’ve used a variety of bareMinerals products, especially their lipsticks {this red lipstick gets tons of compliments!}. When I heard they launched the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue last month I was so excited to try it out! It’s a tinted gel cream that is extremely hydrating. They say it improves skin hydration by 215%- um yes please! I’ve been burned too often by foundations that dry my face out and show every little edge of skin. {It is the worst!} This one is not like the rest, though. I guess I shouldn’t expect any differently from bareMinerals. They’re a company that I’ve always believed has their girl at heart. They’re all about natural beauty and using pure ingredients, ones that are good for your skin, and less of the ones you don’t really need. I’m trying to be more careful about the ingredients I use in my hair and on my skin so I love that they don’t use any oil, parabens or silicone. bareMinerals has the philosophy of be original. be natural. be good and I kinda love it! Might have to steal that for my personal motto! Read on to hear more of my thoughts on this brand new product.

The bareMinerals Complexion Rescue is a little bit of a BB cream, CC cream and tinted moisturizer, all wrapped up into one. The moisture aspect is one to definitely emphasize because it was what I was most looking forward to when testing it out. I used this product before and during my trip to New York and it was my first winter trip where my skin didn’t totally dry out. Usually my skin gets so parched, red and flaky because of the low temperatures and wind chill. I really think it stayed hydrated because of this product. The finish is very pretty too and it looks incredibly natural, almost like you’re not wearing any makeup at all. The finish is dewy yet a little matte and it smooths your skin to give it a slightly blurred appearance {no photoshop necessary!}. The gel cream comes in 10 different shades {if you use their products you might need a new skin match, but it’s pretty easy to figure out your color}. The Complexion Rescue is only $29 too, so not crazy expensive either. Definitely a good buy that your skin will be really really happy with! {Also did I mention that there’s an SPF of 30?? done and done!}
You can also buy bareMinerals at Nordstrom, Ulta and Sephora.
