May Beauty Products via M Loves M @marmar
I’ve been trying some new beauty & makeup products and the ones above are definitely worth mentioning. From the miracle zit killer to the perfect soft white nail polish, I’m obsessed with this month’s beauty picks and hope you will be too!
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
This product is a cult phenomenon. I have heard about it for years, but didn’t want to spend the money. In comes a gift card, and I figured why not try it out. Let me just tell you, I would pay double for this product. I tested it out right when I felt two huge zits coming along. I was ready to hide indoors for the next week but remembered I had bought this drying lotion on a whim. I tested it out by dipping a q-tip into the pink solution and applying directly to my pimples, as directed on the bottle. I went to bed and woke up and found that my pimples were almost not even there. The lotion dried them out enough so that they shrunk in size, but without burning my skin or leaving a dry patch. I did this consistently for two nights and boom zits be gone! I’m telling you, the two zits I tested the product on could have been pimple famous. This product is definitely a secret weapon so if you suffer from breakouts check it out!
This lighting palette makes me feel like a star! The palette features three finishing powders that give my skin a pretty, multidimensional glow. At first I didn’t think the powders would do that much to make it worth it, but oh how wrong I was! It’s the finishing touch that I think most people don’t tell you about. They’re great to apply for highlighting and I love how it makes my skin look practically flawless!
I’m not one for tanning so when I heard about this express bronzing mousse I was curious to check it out. The idea of a mousse seemed appealing to me since I thought it would be easier to apply. Well, it was! It’s so easy, although make sure you apply it with a tanning mitt. {I learned the hard way! Oopsie!} But this product blends so well and doesn’t streak. I absolutely love how it gives my skin a natural tan {you would never guess it’s fake!}, and I love how it fades almost like a real tan would. It’s my new favorite self-tanner and I’m planning on using it a lot this summer! No sunburns over here!
I have been on the hunt for the perfect creamy white nail polish that’s not too light and too bright. This one is it! {and in the effort to keep this rhyming thing going, it’s just right!} I’ve honestly had it on my nails nonstop. I’m one of those girls that easily tires of nail colors, which is why I don’t like gel manicures. However, this is a shade I’ve taken off just to put back on. The color is super pretty and fresh looking!
Arcona Tea Tree Mask
After my breakout the other week, I started using a new mask by Arcona. I had a facial at their Santa Monica studio and loved it, so I thought this mask might be a great way to continue caring for my skin. They told me to apply the mask once a week normally, but twice a week right before my period. I feel like that’s a good practice in general so I’m going to try remember that! I always like applying masks on Thursday nights, while I’m watching Scandal, of course! It’s easy to remember and be consistent that way. Of course, the season is about to end so I’ll have to adjust that routine to a different show! Do you have a show you mask to?

Have you tried any of these products above? I’d love to hear your thoughts? Also, if you have a favorite creamy white polish or a self-tanner that you swear by, let me know! There are so many out there and it’s always interesting to hear about people’s favorites!
