March Beauty picks + thoughts about February's products

This post is coming up a little late this month {where has March gone?!} but I’ve been so excited to chat with you about some of the new skincare products I’ve been using. At the end of last year, I was encouraged by many of you to share more regular beauty and skincare posts. I try a lot of products and I agree that this is a good way to mix it up a bit and also share my honest thoughts, in the hopes that it will help you too! It’s been so nice to try new products and be consistent with them for the entire month. Since I know some products recommend longer usage to see results, I’ve tried to carry some products over  {like I’m still using the Arcona mask and the Rodin face oil from February}. February’s beauty routine was a really good one, though, so I’m excited to share my thoughts with you below! I already have a feeling one of the products is going to be my favorite for 2018 which sounds extreme but it’s amazing! I’m also talking about the products I’ve added into my routine for March.

MARCH BEAUTY PICKS

Purity Micellar Cleansing Water

I’m a huge fan of micellar water. It’s a no-rinse cleanser that removes dirt, impurities and makeup on your skin. What I love is that it’s supposed to leave your face feeling clean, hydrated, refreshed and toned. I love a good multi-tasking product!

Ole Henriksen’s Truth Serum®

A vitamin C serum is supposed to be in every woman’s beauty regimen! The antioxidant components support natural collagen though which is great when you’re needed a little support. Ole Henriken’s Truth Serum is supercharged with their True-C Complex™ and is said to be boosted with collagen that helps brighten, visibly firm and deliver all-day hydration.  This serum is also enriched with orange and green tea extracts.

Coola Sunscreen

Sunscreen is another of my every day go-to items! Protecting our skin is so crucial and I’m a huge fan of Coola Sunscreen. It’s antioxidant-infused sunscreen that has been designed for sensitive skin as well as being high performance.  It’s infused with organic evening primrose and linseed oils to help even skin tone and balance moisture and the safflower which is said to provide lasting hydration! So happy to read that it’s made with 70% + certified organic ingredients.

Dr. Perricone Cold Plasma Eye
This multitasking formula targets the five most visible signs of aging around the eye area: dark circles, puffiness, crow’s feet, fine lines, and loss of firmness.  It claims to be a multi-tasking powerhouse that targets your skin’s individual needs around the eyes to deliver visible results in 7 days! Yes! I’ve used Dr. Perricone’s products before so I’ve been so excited to test this one out!

Shiseido White Lucent MicroTargeting Spot Corrector
Bringing in the big guns with this one! I have been so discouraged my all my acne pigmentation lately. I much prefer to go makeup-free if I can, and lately I just haven’t been able to. My acne marks and sun spots are so noticeable that I’m always using a foundation to cover them up. I have heard really good things about this Shiseido serum so I had to give it to try. I know some products are more expensive, but if they deliver the results, then I’m a happy girl. For me, being able to have the confidence to not wear makeup is super important! I’m feeling so optimistic after reading some of the product reviews too!

An Honest February Beauty Recap

Arcona Wine Mask  – Such a good mask if you skin is feeling dry! I felt like my skin was so hydrated after using this. One thing I noticed is that when you wash it off your face, you skin feels a little slippery. I was worried I wasn’t getting the product off, but I think that’s just how quickly it starts working on your skin!

Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Air Dry Creme  – Such a good product! She says weightless and she means it! I’ll put it in my hair and then not even feel it! You want your hair to be a little damp but not totally dry when you apply it. The point of this product {as you can read in the February post} is to be a product you apply when you’re not going to blowdry your hair. It helps hold a little wave/curl but smooths your hair so it’s not too frizzy. This is a great product if you’re like me and would rather skip the blowdryer.

Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate – I really love Kiehl’s products so I was especially excited about this new launch! One thing I didn’t like so much about this product is that it’s really thick so I feel like I need to put it straight on my face, as opposed to rubbing it between my hands first. It feels like you need extra pumps too! But the positive is that my skin did feel more bright and clear, maybe because of the hyaluronic acid.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – I have to say I am a huge fan of this product now! I had heard so much about this line over the past 6 months so this was the first product I wanted to try. I love it! It goes on super easily and makes my skin feel absolutely amazing. I feel like it gives me a little glow too! I’m especially a fan of the smell, too! Weird to say, but when you smell it, you’ll know what I mean! This product has a lot of research behind it and says that there are noticeable differences in 15 days of use. I for sure feel like my skin has looked the best it has in months, and I might say it’s all because of this day cream!

Rodin Geranium & Orange Blossom Face Oil – Such a nice face oil! It’s a little more pricy but I read that they source some of the best oils. Also, you don’t need much! I used about 5 drops every evening. I love how this product smells too and how it makes my skin feel. I’m still keeping this product in my nightly skincare routine.

My skin really felt so amazing in February, and I kept taking to people about how much I loved this routine. I honestly think it was because of that Elemis Marine Cream. That is a product I’ll for sure be buying again once I run out. I’m savoring it now and hope it lasts be another month or two!

I hope you all liked this post! Have you tried any beauty/skincare products lately that you’ve been liking? I would love love love for you to share! And if there’s ever a product you’re curious about let me know! Would love to check it out and give you my thoughts if it would be helpful!
