It feels like just yesterday we were on Balboa Island for a little family time, but it’s already been a week. Last week went by in the blink of an eye! Between catching up on errands after our mini-vacation and prepping for Mother’s Day, we were crazy busy. I wanted to share my go-to casual weekend style, including this outfit I wore while we explored Balboa, but with how hectic everything has been lately, I’ve been reaching for pieces like this more and more during the week. We’re so lucky that we live so close to the beach and we go all the time. Even if we aren’t going to play in the sand or water, we like to walk near the shore and check out all the boats or look for dolphins. Because the ocean breeze can get a little chilly, I like to pair jeans with a light sweater instead of a t-shirt to stay warm. Even on summer nights, you need a little sweater by the beach in California!
I love a cute pair of flip-flops as much as the next girl, but they can feel a little unstable when I’m running after Augustine. These classic Superga sneakers are super light and comfortable and look just as cute with a pair of shorts or a sundress as they do jeans.
