I loved the 14 day #greathairchallenge from Pantene! - M Loves M @marmar

If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you might know I LOVE a challenge! I actually did a whole series of weekly challenges a few years ago. Personally, I love to test things out, challenge myself to create habits, and also analyze results. When one of my favorite haircare brands reached out about their 14 Day Challenge, I was intrigued and knew I had to do it! Can’t wait to share my thoughts with you about how my hair has been the past 2 weeks. This post is for any of you that want to go from a bad hair day to a great hair day!

My 14 Day #GreatHairDay Challenge

When I started this challenge I was feeling pressed for time, busy with a toddler and not having as much energy as normal to style my hair. My go-to hair style for the crazy days is just a messy bun because it’s up and out of my face. But the thing is, I much prefer my hair down. I feel like wearing my hair down makes me feel most confident and like myself. Since I had just finished a shampoo and conditioner, I felt like this was the perfect time to try a new combo. Plus, in my experience, I find that it’s always nice to switch up your hair system every 3-6 months so your hair doesn’t get too used to the current products.

I started using the Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner set. It’s such a classic right? The smell just brings me back to so many great memories of getting ready. I was reading about some of the product info and I was so impressed to learn that it also helps repair 6 months of damage in one use. That’s kind of amazing, right? I guess because of their concentrated moisturizers and conditioners (that famous Pro-V!) it also reduces hair friction and provides damage protection. Makes sense because my hair is always so soft and smooth after using it!

My hair goals for the challenge were to have more great hair days, days where I felt confident enough to not style my hair, or do so minimally. I wanted my hair to be soft and smooth, but most importantly I wanted it to look healthier.  Personally, I think healthy looking hair is the prettiest and it always makes me feel the best. My plan was to cut down on my messy bun days so I could wear my hair down confidently.

Half-way through the challenge I was surprised at how smooth the Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner made my hair feel. I’ve been letting my hair air-dry more often because I’ve loved the way it looks. Usually my hair has a little bit of a weird wave to it where I feel like I need to either straighten or curl it. Using this shampoo and conditioner though has made my hair a lot more sleek where I feel like it’s good to go just after an air-dry or quick blow dry- perfect for a busy mom morning!

I’ve used Pantene several times over the years but I forgot how much I really love it. It has the trifecta I always look for when I judge a shampoo/conditioner: good scent, soft feel, and actual results. Pantene has all three of those covered, which I definitely witnessed almost immediately during my challenge.

Have you ever done a hair challenge? If not, I would highly recommend it! You might be surprised by the results. And if you haven’t used Pantene recently, do it! It’s a classic for a reason! Here’s to more great hair days!
