Hey there! Who else is so glad it’s hump day?! I need time to slow down since I could use a few extra days/weeks before the baby arrives, but I still can’t wait for the weekend! Life is so funny that way, you want things to stay the same, but at the same time you want things to change. One thing I’m actually not ready to say goodbye to is winter! I know, I know…but hear me out! Winter provides so many fun style options {all the accessories please!} where as the hotter months aren’t exactly exciting to dress for. Which is why today I’m sharing how I’ll be wearing one of my favorite winter styles {oversized sweater} in spring.
How to Style an Oversized Sweater for Winter or Spring

sweater {on sale!! and also here} . black lace cami . jeans {on sale!} . booties {similar style with more sizes in stock} . bag . glasses {style sold out but here’s a similar pair} .
Sweaters may seem like a no-brainer for winter, but this season I’ve been reaching for a new style of sweater. Specifically, any that are loose, oversized, or are good for layering! Sure, being pregnant makes this oversized sweater trend appealing, but I think I’ll still be wearing them even when I’m not pregnant. I’ll need all the loose and comfy things!
I’d say with oversized sweaters, it’s better to buy ones that are designed to be a little baggy, instead of wearing a sweater that’s simply too big for you. I think it really helps with the proportion and fit. For example with the sweater I’m wearing, it was plenty roomy (fit is a little big which is typical for the brand) so I got my regular size.
FOR WINTER
Can we take a second to appreciate the fact that my jeans are on sale?? AG jeans rarely go on sale, so I feel like they were such a good find! Of course I wear pants with these sweaters in the winter, but I could see a sweater like this being perfectly paired with a corduroy skirt in the fall or spring!
One of the reasons I like wearing these oversized sweaters when it’s cold out is because you can layer them! We don’t get too cold of weather here, but I like layering them with a simple camisole underneath. For you ladies who live in colder locales, I’ve heard the best things about UNIQLO’s HEATTECH layering products for staying toasty in cold weather. This camisole is so sleek and looks nothing like long underwear to me, so I feel like it would be the perfect piece to layer under this sweater.
FOR SPRING
Of course, you could still wear one of these loose sweaters in the spring with jeans, but how cute would it be with a pair of shorts?? Combine a pair of classic denim cutoffs {like these} with a preppy sweater and a striped bikini underneath, and you’ll have the perfect outfit for a spring beach day!
Another way to make this look work for spring is with a white jean, a lighter fabric for the sweater like cotton, and little sandals instead of booties.

Are you into the oversized sweater trend? Or do you prefer more fitted styles? I think even if I wasn’t pregnant I’d be leaning towards more loose and relaxed sweaters, I think they are just so cute that way! I think an oversized cardigan {like the one I wore in this outfit and this outfit} looks really good too!
