I'm sharing what I've bought recently! - M Loves M @marmar

I know some people do a No Spend January, and I think that was my plan too but there have been a few {ok 10!} things I’ve gotten recently that I wanted to share with you all. From home necessities/game changers, to a special book for Augustine, to the sneakers you all LOVED when I featured on InstaStories, I’m sharing all the details below! Maybe February will be my no spend month…

What I’ve Bought Recently (And Really Like!)

  1. baskets for the kids’ bathroom– I was looking for baskets to put below the vanity and was so happy to come across these ones. I love that they don’t look like the typical brown baskets. There’s something special about them with the round shape and white and natural seagrass. By the way, if you’re interested, here are our plans for the Kids Bathroom. We’re just adding finishing touches and then I’ll be shooting the final space to share. I can’t wait for you all to see how it turned out!!
  2. long sleeve maternity tees- This weather has been SO chilly lately and I realized I have a ton of short sleeve tops but no long sleeve ones. And definitely no long sleeve maternity tops. I picked up a few of these in some classic colors and they’ve worked perfectly!
  3. linen shower curtain – Ok this is random but we needed a new shower curtain. After looking and looking, I came across this one on Amazon {for way less than a similar style at Restoration} and I am beyond impressed. The quality and feel are so good and it adds the perfect look to the bathroom. Because the material is linen, I think it has a gorgeous texture that’s soft and natural. If any of you are looking for a new shower curtain, I would highly recommend this one!
  4. new shampoo – I loved this shampoo so much the last time I used it and while it’s expensive a little goes a long way and the quality of my hair was so good afterward. I’m excited to use it again and make my hair feel a little more like itself again. I’m still bummed about my last cut & color appointment that didn’t turn out right. You can see in these photos here how dark my hair looks. It was seriously black afterward and I even did two clarifying washes to try to tone it down a bit. Plus, you can see the layers I didn’t ask for. ahh! Looking forward to my hair fading and growing out!
  5. baby bows – First purchase for baby girl! Can you believe I haven’t bought her anything yet? Maybe because I didn’t believe we were having a girl for the longest time, despite our gender reveal. I’m trying not to go crazy buying little girl items but there are SO many cute things out there! Whenever I see something cute, I add it here!
  6. New Balance sneakers– You all were obsessed when I featured these sneakers on InstaStories last week! And I am totally right there with ya! I looked over the holidays for a cute pair of sneakers and couldn’t find ones I loved enough that were a good price point. These are under $100 and the black with the brown detailing is SO cute and versatile. I’ve been wearing them nonstop because of how comfortable they are too!
  7. measuring cups– This might seem like an odd purchase but after a flour fiasco around the holidays with our old IKEA measuring cups, I knew I needed a new sturdy set! I also got the odd-sized measuring cup set because so often I need a 3/4 cup measure and having one saves time. You wouldn’t think it was worth it, but I swear it is, especially if you do a lot of cooking/baking!
  8. sunglasses– I know. I know. Where is the sun these days? But it’s coming and I couldn’t resist getting this cute new pair. I love the style of these and they look WAY more expensive than they are!
  9. a book for Augustine about being a big brother- We’re starting to prepare Augustine for big brother life so we’ve gotten him a few books that I think are helping a lot. He loves to give my belly kisses and talk to the baby now and I honestly think it’s because of this book. It’s an easier way of explaining how things will change a bit around here when he can “read” about it and see the photos.
  10. Philosophy Amazing Grace Ballet Rose Eau de Toilette- I’m obsessed with perfumes and I owe you all an updated post with my favorites soon! {These are  some of my favorite summer perfumes} I got this Philosophy perfume and I love the scent. It’s soft, so not too overwhelming, but smells very feminine with lychee, rose and peony. It would be the perfect spring perfume!
