I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We did some birthday celebrating for my favorite guy which included dinner at cucina enoteca! It’s a local Italian restaurant that a lot of people have recommended to us and it was so good! They had a dish that I always get whenever I see it on a menu: ricotta-stuffed fried squash blossoms. Maybe that sounds weird but let me tell you, they are so delicious. Zucchini squash blossoms are usually in season during the summer so I take advantage when I can! I feel like this weekend included a lot of yummy but kind of unhealthy eating {I say this as I’m eating a Sprinkles cupcake and brownie} so I’m definitely looking forward to getting back to our regular healthyish routine. I think this beet and apple detox salad needs to be on my menu list!
I wore this yellow dress over the weekend and got lots of compliments on it. Yellow is such a happy color and I can’t help but feel the same whenever I wear it!
A Yellow Dress for Summer

One of the things I love about this pretty yellow dress for summer, besides the color, is the textured dot material and the ruffles. Well, I guess that’s two things, but both just as special. This would be a gorgeous dress for a shower or summer party! And if you’re looking for a classic pair of espadrilles, I’ve become such a fan of this brand, Castañer. They have a few other styles that I have my eye on, like this pointy-toed pair of espadrilles. Unique but still very classic. I seriously want a whole closet of espadrilles right now! Here’s another yellow dress I got recently {on sale for under $20!} that I’ve really liked. I think that one is going to be so cute to wear during fall too!
I hope you all are having a great week! It’s a little busy around here with Matthew taking a work trip, and I’m also starting to plan potty training/toilet learning for Augustine. I’ll have to give you all a bigger update on that soon but right now my plan is to do it the first weekend of August. Give me all the tips/encouragement!
