Who's ready for a little summer fun?! - M Loves M @marmar

A new month means new products! I don’t think I have to even mention how crazy it is that it is already August. I am loving the summer weather, but I also know I need a little help in the glow department. I think I found some really great products that will help me embrace all the summer fun there is to be had!

Can't wait to try these beauty products this summer! How's that for summer fun! - M Loves M @marmar Can't wait to try these beauty products this summer! How's that for summer fun! - M Loves M @marmar

August Beauty: Summer Fun

Bliss Lemon and Sage Body Butter

Between Matthew leaving for a work trip recently and attempting to potty train Augustine, you could say these last few weeks have been a bit hectic! This is the lotion that has been used in Bliss spas for decades, so I’m hoping it will help me channel some zen vibes this month!

Paula’s Choice RESIST Daily Hydrating Fluid Face Moisturizer SPF 50

I figure I might as well embrace a summer glow now that the temperatures are soaring in Orange County! A little extra moisture is always appreciated, but so is a sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays. I’m hoping this may be my holy grail face sunscreen. Fingers crossed for no white streaks!

Vita Liberata Invisi Foaming Tan Water

I have to admit, when I first saw this product, I had no idea what it was! But once I did some research I realized the concept is actually pretty cool! So it’s a self tanner that sounds pretty darn amazing. It’s clear and claims a zero risk of transfer. It also doesn’t smell like self tanner apparently, or have any scent at all! It’s a foaming water formula that will develop into a glowing tan within four to six hours {similar to tanning naturally} and lasts up to seven days. I am so darn curious if this product lives up to the hype!

Vichy LiftActiv Supreme Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

I’ve always had good experiences with Vichy products, so I am hoping this eye cream will be another favorite! Particularly because right now I am very conscious of squinting caused by sun exposure. I don’t always remember to grab my sunglasses when I run outside with Augustine, so a little anti-wrinkle eye cream should help me with any fine lines by my eyes!

Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium Hold

We all talk about beating the heat, but not about beating the humidity! I need a good strong hairspray to keep my hair tame during the summer, but the last thing I want is to feel sticky or like my hair is crunchy when it’s hot out. I’ve always loved how Moroccanoil products make my hair feel, so I really appreciate that this hairspray has their signature oil in it. Hopefully it will add some nice shine to my hair!

July Beauty: Smooth Essentials

Rodin Olio Lusso – Luxury Face Cream

This oil-infused face cream has been HEAVENLY! I love the scent, and every time I wear it Matthew or Augustine comments on it. Besides the scent though, it makes my skin feel really hydrated. It’s a rich consistency so a little goes a long way. I really look forward to putting this on every night!

Kate Somerville Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides Serum

I love all of Kate Somerville’s products and this serum is no exception! It absorbs really well into my skin and pairs well with facial oils and moisturizers. I love all the ingredients added to it which sound like they’ would be very beneficial over time. I’ll definitely continue using this serum as a preventative measure and report back.

Perricone MD Pre:empt Series Daily Brightening Moisturizer SPF 30

I’ve been looking for a multi-purpose moisturizer so I was curious about this one from Perricone MD. I like that it contains a mineral-based sunscreen, plus it smoothes my skin before makeup. It’s supposed to minimize the appearance of imperfections but I don’t think that was the case with my skin. I think I was expecting it to brighten my skin more than it did.

OLEHENRIKSEN Cold Plunge Pore Mask

This mask is so refreshing! I’m a fan of the blue color, which actually reminds me a lot of the bottles in this month’s beauty picks. It’s so nice to put on after a hot day though and I feel like it has kept my oily summer skin at bay. If you have oily skin you might like to try it too!

Kevin Murphy Angel Masque

I used this mask weekly and I thought it made my hair feels a bit more smooth. I think I had higher expectations for it but it wasn’t bad. I didn’t notice a huge difference with it but my hair was softer. I’ve been trying to air dry my hair this summer (and minimize the heat products) so that’s why I was really looking forward to using this mask. It’s not as thick as some masks are and, in fact, I’d actually compare it more to a conditioner consistency. It’s probably not my favorite mask I’ve ever tried but I didn’t hate it!

I’m really hoping these fun products will help me get through the rest of this sweltering summer! I know it will be fun to up my makeup game in the fall!
