My end of summer style! - M Loves M @marmar

I’ve been talking about transitional outfits a lot for the past week or so. You probably wonder why I’m so obsessed lol! Well, when you think about it, transitional pieces should be the bulk of our wardrobe because they’re the most versatile. There’s no reason you couldn’t wear this outfit in spring too, right?! For now, though, I’m focusing on outfits that channel end of summer style. I’m planning on wearing lots of loose and breezy skirts with casually tied button-up shirts! It seems like a good combo to beat the end of summer heat!

As I was saying, end of summer style really can work in spring or the cooler days of summer too. We’ve had such nice brisk weather in the mornings and evenings lately, so the name of the game has been light layers for me!

Long-sleeved linen shirts are ideal because you can roll up the sleeves if you get hot. But if the sun is really beating down on you, you can also count on them for extra sun protection. I like to throw a great white linen shirt like this one over a bathing suit in the summer or pair with jeans in the fall. I found out about this brand Grayson and was so impressed with the amount of effort they put into finding the “perfect” button-up shirt. The fit and quality on this one is incredible and I’m already wanting a second one. Maybe a light blue or a stripe! What do you think??

I love the movement of a pleated skirt. Let’s face it, there is nothing comfortable about a tight skirt on a hot day. And we can have some pretty hot days in fall too! Pleated skirts are also a go-to because you can dress them up or down – keep that in mind for the holiday season! I could also totally see this navy pleated skirt being the perfect addition to a workwear wardrobe. Do you work in an office? Sometimes I really miss it, especially on the days where I’m getting spit up on and peed on! BOTH happened to me over the weekend!

As you know, button-down shirts like this are a total lifesaver if you’re breastfeeding! This lemon print button-down from last week is another favorite!
