Splurge-worthy beauty products! - M Loves M @marmar

I feel like the summertime can be sooo damaging to skin and hair. Days spent at the beach and pool can be drying. Not to mention, neither hair nor skin benefit from sun exposure. Redness, discoloration, brittle hair and nails, not to mention sweat inducing breakouts can all be side effects of summertime. Which is why I think fall is such a great time to invest in splurge-worthy beauty products! I’ve rounded up some of my favorites that I absolutely think are worth spending a little more on! Would love to know if you agree!

My Favorite Splurge-Worthy Beauty Products

Lash Serum

I am obsessed with the nueLASH Lash Enhancing Serum. I swear I have seen a difference in lash length since using this serum! Post-pregnancy hair loss totally damaged my eyelashes too and I am so thrilled that this serum works so well. I feel like it’s so much easier to skip mascara on busy mornings now and I’ve only been using this serum for almost 2 months! Because you do use this product right on your lash line, it seems like a safer bet to invest in a good product. I’d also hate to be wasteful and use a lash serum that didn’t do much. It’s not like a moisturizer where no matter what the formula is, you’ll get some benefit.

Good Shampoo & Conditioner

I’ve always felt using a nicer shampoo and conditioner makes a big difference. Picture how dry and tangled your hair gets after using hotel toiletries! Pureology Hydrate Shampoo is a fave but I’ve been liking the Kerastase Blond Absolu Bain Lumiere Shampoo and the matching conditioner. If you don’t want to splurge on both shampoo and conditioner, I feel like conditioner is a better investment to make since it has the most reparative and smoothing properties.

Facial Oil

I don’t know why, but I am so afraid of using a cheap facial oil. I think it’s because I come from the “oil is bad” generation. When I was younger the goal was to only use oil free products lol. Quality oils are usually pricier but they have better ingredients. I love and have been using these oils for years and I can trust they won’t break me out. The Beauty Counter No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil, Face Hero-Go-To, KORRES Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil and the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Curling Iron

I’ve already told you about how much I love my T3 Twirl Trio Interchangeable Curling Iron in this post, but I just have to tell you again how worth the money it is. Plus you get 3 barrels so you can achieve a variety of different styles.  A good curling iron does a lot less damage to your hair and the curls last a lot longer than other ones. BTW, this is a tutorial for how I get my everyday curls!

PMD

Sometimes beauty investments can save you big bucks! I don’t have the time or budget for regular facials. Even though the PMD at home microdermabrasion device is pricey, it is SO much cheaper than going to a dermatologist’s office for facial treatments. I saw really good results when I used this device regularly!
