We just got back from our family trip to Colorado and I am so happy to report that traveling with two small children went WAY better than we expected! I’ll share more of the advice we followed for making our travel days go smoother later, but for now, I wanted to share all of the great spots we visited while in Colorado! So many of you gave me the best recommendations, so thank you!
Our Family Colorado Trip!
Pizzeria Locale – Boulder: The funghi pizza was amazing! Definitely Neapolitan style which we’ve always loved! We also appreciated that it was an affordable and fun spot for the whole family.
River & Woods – Boulder: This spot was so cute and unique! It’s a house turned into restaurant, which is something that both Matthew and I have never heard of before! We ate outside in their tent and it felt romantic, even though we were with the kids lol! Next time I’d want to do the table-side s’mores (they make their own marshmallows and graham crackers!).
Little Man Ice Cream – Denver: This ice cream shop is famous around town so naturally we had to check it out! Augustine and I shared the vegan strawberry and it was so yummy!
Union Station – Denver: Of course we had to visit Union Station in Denver so we could check out the gorgeous architecture and so Augustine could spot some trains!
Moxie Bread Company – Louisville: We spent the morning in Louisville and went to Moxie Bread Company. I loved their vanilla latte so much and their King Egg which is a combo of a croissant and a quiche. Augustine loved the cinnamon roll too with the orange glaze!
Boxcar Coffee – Boulder – They had really good coffee and I LOVED the goat cheese, fig and rosemary scone. So soft and buttery! I would love to find a recipe to make a similar one at home!

I guess we’re going to have to make another trip! Where should we head for our next weekend getaway? I think I’ll have to pick from some of these amazing locations featured in the “My Perfect Day” series!
