April Beauty: Innovative Products

Jouer Cosmetics Essential Hydrating Lip Oil

I am really interested in trying this Essential Hydrating Lip Oil from Jouer Cosmetics because it claims to moisturize your lips in just one stroke! It is made with 99% plant derived ingredients such as apricot oil which is full of fatty acids to replenish lips and jojoba seed oil that creates a protective barrier to keep lips soft. There is no tint or color, but it leaves your lips looking ultra glossy. Sometimes I feel like lip glosses can just make your lips feel sticky and more dry than before so I think a lip oil will be the best alternative.

Cerise + C Barrier Repair Oil

This product looks really interesting since it has super unique ingredients that claim to do wonders for your skin. This C Barrier Repair Oil from Arcona has an ingredient called bio-based squalane that comes from sugar cane that helps to retain skin’s moisture, adding a youthful radiance and providing anti-wrinkle benefits. There is also physalis angulata that has a calming effect on your skin and creates an immediate improvement of your skin’s radiance and balance. This product is made in the USA and does not contain any sulfates, parabens, silicone, talc, dyes and many other harmful ingredients. Can’t wait to try!

L’Oreal Paris Wonder Water

Along with my lips, my hair has been experiencing the effects of dryness as well. I feel like I just needed something more to add as my conditioner just doesn’t seem like enough right now. This Wonder Water from L’Oreal is supposed to make your hair silkier and shinier after just one use. I was so impressed when I saw the before & afters on the box. It’s supposed to be a very light formula that specifically targets damaged areas of your hair to repair and moisturize. It also has almost a full five star review and many happy customers have shared how amazed they were by the results of this product. Can’t wait to add this product to my hair care routine!

Olehenriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme

I love using a thick and nourishing night cream because after taking off my makeup and washing my face it feels so relaxing! This Sleeping Creme from Olehenriksen is made with a natural retinol alternative that works to target fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. It even has ingredients like red algae and Tara extracts to promote skin’s firmness and edelweiss stem cells to improve fine lines and wrinkles. This moisturizer is also verified clean on Sephora and has a ton of reviews from customers!

Estée Lauder Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion

The name of this product may be a mouthful lol, but it looks like it is packed with a variety of benefits! With just a couple of drops used each day, this product is said to renew and rebalance your skin’s surface while also providing nourishment and energy. This formula is fragrance-free as well and dermatologist-tested, which is reassuring when looking for something for sensitive skin. Another thing that really caught my eye was that Estée Lauder claims that, “in just 4 weeks, 94% of women said their skin looked healthier, more beautiful”. I am really hopeful about this one!

March Beauty: Refreshed Spring Routine

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser:

This felt like such a good, clean facial cleanser! I am trying to use products that do not have such harsh chemicals and this product is formulated without mineral oils, formaldehyde, oxybenzone, and more. I felt good using this on my face and it also naturally exfoliates your skin leaving it feeling extra clean!

Rael Daily Zen Balancing Toner:

I really liked this toner! At first, I was struck by the silky consistency which is not typical of most toners. I wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing but then I noticed it has vitamin B5 and olive oil in it so that’s why it feels extra moisturizing and hydrating. It definitely doesn’t strip your face of its oils and moisture, like some toners do. Highly recommend this one!

Korres Wild Rose Spotless Serum with 15% Vitamin Super C:

This serum was great and provided a lot of nourishment to my skin. It is packed with great ingredients like honeysuckle, wild rose oil, ginger root and more. I like that this serum really targets dullness and skin discoloration too!

SkinCeuticals HYDRATING B5 GEL:

SkinCeuticals has such great products and I am definitely a big fan! This B5 gel is very hydrating and really moisturizes your skin. I also liked that it contains hyaluronic acid to help prevent acne and bind moisture to your skin. I was breaking out a ton in February so I finally feel like my skin has been back on track this month!

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Sunscreen:

This is such a great tinted SPF, you get a warm summer glow while defending your skin against sun protection. I really appreciate that this formula contains zinc oxide because it really creates that protective barrier against UV rays. Perfect go-to if you are looking for something made with naturally derived ingredients and verified clean by Sephora. Because of the zinc oxide the texture is a bit thicker though so just something to note about the application process.
