As you probably know, I’ve been working to commit to allyship to people of color during this time {check out my recent post about how to be an ally here!}, and I think one of the best things we can do to help is really to educate ourselves and the people around us, especially our kids. Instilling these ideas of diversity and differences in society to our kids is such a fundamental lesson and can really help them develop good and strong values. There are actually so many amazing kids books about diversity that introduce these ideas to your kids in an easy to understand, engaging, and light-hearted way. Keep reading to see my list of 10 books about diversity to introduce to your kids!

June Edit: Weekend Getaway Style
I don’t know about all of you, but I sure am ready for a weekend getaway! I’m not sure when that will realistically happen, but a girl can dream right? I would love to not worry about cooking, cleaning up the house, and just enjoy some time away from home. A change of scenery sounds absolutely lovely! While I may not be going anywhere soon, I already have some weekend getaway style items picked out that would be perfect for a weekend away this summer.
Anyone else craving some time relaxing by a pool? I love carrying a large straw tote that fits my towel, cute sunglasses, water bottle, and a good book! I have been on the search for new swimwear and found this adorable printed bikini top with matching bottoms, I love how retro the checkered pattern looks. When the days are extra warm, I like to tie my hair up with a hair scarf. There are seriously so many ways to style your hair with a scarf as shown in this cute headscarf book. Or you can always grab a trendy straw hat to shade your face!
After being in the sun all day, I prefer wearing a flowy midi dress, this one here can easily be worn casually or dressed up for a nicer dinner out. Throw on some chunky gold earrings and a fun pair of heeled sandals and you are ready to go! You all probably know how much I love the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation {you can see my review here!} so I am really happy to find that they have an illuminator stick. It is verified clean at Sephora and you can easily highlight your face on the go to give a nice glowy effect! This is a perfect addition to a minimal summer makeup look!

One of the things I get so excited about is home decor! I follow lots of interior designers on Instagram, and I regularly go through a rabbit hole on Pinterest. There’s just so much good inspiration out there and being a homebody, I love to do what I can to make our house feel as comfy and homey as possible! Since most of us have been spending a lot of time in our homes these days, I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite pieces that I’ve absolutely loved. They are pieces that I’ll look at while walking through the house that will just make me smile – starting with the comfiest bed pillow that I recommend to everyone! Ok, let’s get to it! Here are my favorite decor items that I’ve loved most over the years.
