Pink on pink can definitely veer too young or girly, but other times it just works. I think it helps when you have a print to break things up. The print keeps the look from being too soft. At my event the other week, I knew I wanted to wear this skirt as soon as I saw it on the hanger. It’s so pretty yet it has a little edge to it with the asymmetrical front-slit. I was trying on tops and then this long sleeve sweater tee was next in my pile. At first I thought the pink on pink would be too much, but I loved it. I scrunched up the sleeves a little bit and finish the outfit off with these red sandal heels. Same color family, just a little darker. Sometimes you just gotta wear what you love!
Happy Friday everyone!! I’m excited because Matthew and I are heading to Seattle bright and early tomorrow morning. I went to school in Seattle for two years but I haven’t been back except for a 1 day project the other year. Oh, and I saw it for about 30 minutes from the cruise ship the other week! But that didn’t count! I’m excited to go back and really visit, especially since Matthew will be there too. It will be so fun to show him some of my favorite spots. The city has changed so much since I left though, so if any of you Seattleites have any recommendations, send them my way! I’m looking for good dinner spots, lunch spots, sushi spots, brunch spots, somewhere good for dessert, a coffee shop…basically any and all recommendations! Thank you in advance!
Give me a pink dress and I’ll be a happy girl! I picked out this ruffle-hem dress from Chicwish knowing it would be a great choice for spring parties. I love how it has long sleeves, which isn’t that common for spring/summer dresses, and a cute, short hemline. The color is so bright and vibrant so I paired it with a neutral jacket, gold gladiator flats and a white crossbody bag!
Still stying my hair with curtain bangs! What do you think about this hair trend?
Happy Friday everyone! What are you up to this weekend? Our Ginger Easter Bunny will hopefully be getting a bath tomorrow so she’s nice and cuddly for Sunday. Matthew and I are going to celebrate with my family in LA and eat lots and lots of sweets!
I feel like I’ve been accumulating so much pink in my wardrobe these days. First, it started with this dress, and then I got this blouse, and now this sweater. This sweater has been such a comfy piece during the transition of seasons {I actually wore it before here and here}. I love that pink can often be a great neutral- it’s soft, feminine and yet not too girly. Pink goes with dark colors, just as easily as light ones. I paired this sweater with these DISTRESSED JEANS and the SNAKESKIN SANDALS I can’t live without. I know I love a pair of shoes when I have to switch around some posts because I’m over-featuring them!
This weekend Matthew and I are kind of laying low. We have a joint baby shower on Saturday. It’s actually the first I’ve ever been to, so that should be fun! Sunday I’m planning on getting things done for the week so it’s not too crazy. I feel like I’ve been so behind since my Austin trip. Working on the weekend sounds like the worst thing ever but sometimes you just gotta do it! Please tell me you guys have some fun plans! I’ll live vicariously though you!
