We’re heading to Lake Tahoe for Labor Day Weekend and to say I’m excited is an understatement! I can’t wait for some fun in the sun with my family. I grew up going to Lake Tahoe every summer and it’s been 3 years since we made a trip. 3 years too long! I may be getting ahead of myself, but I’m already planning what I want to pack. Well, the summer went so fast that I know this next week will fly by!

What I’m Packing For Labor Day Weekend

Bikini

It wouldn’t be a trip to the lake without some swimming! I was worried it would be a little too late in the season to find a new swimsuit, but J.Crew has some great options and this pretty pink one is even on sale!

Cover Up

Ummmm did you know that J.Crew has also majorly stepped up their cover-up game? They have so many cute options! This tunic is the prettiest color combo and I feel like I could even wear it as a day dress or over white jeans. What’s your go-to cover-up? Sometimes I’ll even just wear an oversized button-up like this striped one.

Straw Tote

You’ve probably noticed that straw totes are having a major moment this summer. Actually, they do every summer! I like that this one is structured enough to use on and off the sand. Did you catch my recent post about what I keep in my beach bag?

Sunscreen Oil

Sun protection that also gives you an all over glow? Seems like a no-brainer to me!

Sandals

When I’m scooping up all of Augustine’s beach toys and snacks, I can’t be worried about fussy shoes that require buckles or ties. I love how simple these slides are and that they look just as good with jeans as they do a swimsuit. I also really love this metallic version!

Sunglasses

Of course, you can’t forget to protect your eyes! This neutral shade feels so light and perfect for long days in the sun.

Book

What long weekend would be complete without a good page turner?! I’ve loved Sophie Kinsella’s books for years and I can’t wait to dive into Suprise Me. The book centers on a happily married couple trying to make sure their spark is still alive.  It’s supposed to be a good mix of funny and sweet.
