Augustine’s Favorite Smoothie Recipe

This kid friendly smoothie recipe is so delicious! | M Loves M @marmar We’re big on smoothies around here! Smoothies are my go-to breakfast, and sometimes they serve as a great afternoon snack. They’re just so tasty and healthy! I’ve shared several of my favorite smoothie recipes I’ve made over the years, like this summer pineapple smoothie, but today I thought I’d share Augustine’s go-to smoothie recipe. Many of you ask about it on Instagram when you see him drinking it, and the recipe couldn’t be simpler. The best part is that he happily drinks it up and I have a couple tricks for adding some extra nutrients! Check out the recipe below and if you have a chance please share your go-to smoothie in the comments. I’d love to mix it up and try some new ones this summer {for him and for myself!}.

Augustine’s Favorite Smoothie Recipe

Augustine’s Go-To Smoothie
Prep Time
5 mins

Course: Drink
Servings: 1 smoothie
Ingredients
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter
  • ½ banana
  • ¼ cup of blueberries
  • handful of ice
  • ½ tablespoon chia seeds
  • sprinkle of cinnamon

Sometimes I’ll sneak in ¼ cup of frozen cauliflower, instead of the ice, or I’ll add a handful of spinach. Spinach has been hit and miss these days so I’ve been leaving it out lately, although I’ll probably try adding it in again. It’s so funny because I don’t taste spinach at all in my smoothies, but maybe his little taste buds pick it up more easily.  By the way, here’s the video about how we make our almond milk. I promise it’s so easy and 100x more delicious than store-bought.

Please share your go-to smoothie recipe in the comments section! I’m sure others would be interested to try it too!

Happy smoothie making!

P.S. Here is how I make Augustine’s food a little bit healthier. And if you’re looking for toy ideas for a toddler, this post will hopefully help you out!
