Halloween is next week and Augustine is so excited about our costumes! He’s been asking to be Daniel Tiger for months and since everything came in the mail {so happy I didn’t procrastinate!}, I thought we’d dress up early 1. to make sure everything fit, 2. to have fun at Augustine’s request, and 3. to maybe give you a little last-minute inspiration! When trying to think of a family of four Halloween costume, we kept going back to Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood since it’s Augustine’s favorite {and only!} show that he watches. Plus, it’s perfect that the Tiger family has a baby sister! This was an incredibly easy Halloween costume idea because we only needed a few key pieces to make it work: a red zip-up sweatshirt for Augustine, a blue one for Matthew, a yellow dress and headband for Corinna, and a pink Hawaiian shirt for me. How did we do??
Our Family of Four Halloween Costume
To really make our Daniel Tiger family costume complete, we got some ears and some face paint! I watched a tutorial online for tiger face makeup geared towards kids. Some of them were a little too intense but this was pretty easy. I wish I had recorded Augustine walking down the stairs and seeing me in my outfit with my tiger face on. He was SO excited!! Halloween is so much fun with little ones and I’m counting down the days until next week, although we’re still on the fence about trick or treating. We walked down our street last year but didn’t get candy, which Augustine didn’t even realize. He still doesn’t really understand the concept so I feel like not doing it for another year wouldn’t hurt. Does that make me a bad mom?! Let’s be honest, it would be me eating all that candy anyway haha! No matter what, we’ll definitely be having our family’s favorite chili! Spaghetti included!

I got almost all of our costume pieces from Poshmark for way less than if we’d bought them new! I’m so glad we did since we won’t be wearing most of this again.
