December Beauty: Party Ready

Tan-Luze The BODY Illuminating Self-Tan Drops

I’m always on the hunt for a flawless self tanner. I’m not sure if one exists, but I’m intrigued by this formula that is made up of of raspberry seed oil, and aloe vera. It sounds super moisturizing which should help with streakiness! A lot of the reviews said that these tanning drops help create a dewy and natural complexion which sounds so perfect to use during the colder and dryer months. I like a little glow, even in the winter, especially before putting on a sparkling party dress!

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

If I want my makeup to last until the ball drops, it’s probably worth trying out a setting spray. I have seen countless beauty bloggers and YouTubers swear by Urban Decay’s setting spray, so I wanted to try that one first. I’ve always felt setting sprays are an extra unnecessary step, but I’m hoping this formula proves me wrong.

Eylure ProMagnetic Magnetic Eyeliner & Faux Mink Wispy Lash System

Dramatic lashes are a hit any season, but especially when you want to get glammed up. I love the idea of using magnetic eyelashes because then you don’t have to use glue. I think it’s super cool this set comes with a liquid eyeliner to help complete the look. And of course, magnetic eyelashes sound really easy to remove which would be nice at the end of a long night.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Insta-Smooth Primer

This primer claims it will help reduce the appearance of lines, pores, wrinkles, and leaves skin feeling fresh, hydrated, and ready for makeup! Sounds pretty good to me! So many reviews claimed that this product has lived up to their expectations and left skin looking younger, so my hopes are very high.

R+Co Foil Frizz Plus Static Control Spray

Another spray to try out this month! I love really sleek hairstyles during the holiday season, so I thought I would give this product a try. It contains Vitamin E and Argan Oil and helps restore shine and nourish hair. My hair always gets a bit frizzier this time of year, so I’m hoping for a helping hand in the smoothing department.

November Beauty: Anti Aging Secret Weapons

Rael Beauty Youth Island Face Mask in Firming & Lift

This was a fun little face mask! There was a lot of serum in the pouch so I was even able to save some of it to use the following nights. I love a face mask when I’m feeling extra tired. I think it’s good for my skin to get such a concentrated amount of moisture.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm

This was such a keeper of a product! I loved it and actually looked forward to using it every night. A little goes a long way but it feels so incredibly luxurious. I think this cleansing balm would make a great gift for a skincare-obsessed friend!

Pixi Beauty DetoxifiEYE Hydrogel Under-Eye Patches

I was surprised at how often I used these little patches. I usually put them on while getting Augustine ready for bed. He thought they were so funny and felt wanting to touch them. They’re cooling upon application, and I felt like my under eye area looked refreshed after using them. The price is so good too! These would make a great stocking stuffer!

Skinfix Redness Recovery+ Antioxidant Redness Treatment

This gel mask was super creamy but absorbed easily into my skin – I’m always worried with overnight masks. I did feel like it helped even out my skin a little bit but I didn’t really see the full results I was expecting. I’m going to give it a little more time though to see. I just felt a little indifferent about it and for some reason it has a smell that reminded me of another product I wasn’t that crazy about. I definitely have scent associations so sometimes that can affect how I feel about a product too – for better or for worse!

Dr. Brandt Needles No More Neck Sculpting Cream

It’s sad to say, but I’ve actually noticed a little extra skin on my neck these past few months. I don’t know how noticeable it is to anyone else, but I definitely can tell. I guess a sign of getting a little older? Anyway, I was curious about this sculpting cream and I’ve really liked it. It’s made a subtle difference that’s noticeable enough (and worth it!) for me. The skin on my neck looks and feels just a little bit firmer. Looking forward to seeing how I feel at the end of this month which would mean I’ve used it for a full 8 weeks.

Herbivore Rose Quartz Gua Shua

I wish I was better at remembering to use this one! I maybe used it once or twice a week, which I’m not sure is often enough to really enjoy the benefits. It was easy to hold and felt amazing though! One of these days I’ll be better at making this a regular part of my routine.

Gift Guide: For The Beauty Lover

We all have that friend or family member who is a beauty encyclopedia. She’s who you go to when you need to know which foundation formula to try next or where the get the best haircut in town. You know you want to get her a beauty gift, but don’t want to choose something that won’t impress her much. A safe bet is a luxe beauty product or two with great reviews! For the girl who masks almost every night, this Fresh face mask is one of Sephora’s best sellers! If she prefers makeup to skincare, this Fenty lip gloss is also a top seller and comes in a handful of universally flattering shades.

If she knows that beauty sleep is better than any spa treatment, then this silk pillow case and eye mask will be appreciated. Less fine lines and smoother hair never hurt! A mist designed to spritz before bed and help with sleep would be a good gift too!

I swear by both of the brands I just linked, so trust me, you won’t go wrong with them. I always find the best gift sets during the holidays. She’ll love this neutral lip kit from the queen of the nude lip Charlotte Tilbury. Or consider a fragrance set from the cult favorite brand Maison Margiela. Either way, she’ll appreciate that you respect her love of all things beauty!
