Hi ladies! Both Galentine’s Day and Valentine’s Day are right the corner. Can you believe it? Half the time I still feel like it’s 2019! If you want to pick up a new outfit for the occasion though, then it is the perfect time to start shopping! Luckily, I found a glam Valentine’s Day outfit that will work for all of your plans, whether you’re planning a romantic night at home or heading out on the town!

Since having kids, holidays like Valentine’s Day are often spent at home. We haven’t decided if we’ll branch out this year and hire a babysitter or if we’ll stay in. Either way, I think I’ve found the perfect outfit! Lately, Matthew and I have been having at home date nights. We’ll wait until after Augustine goes to sleep to cook a nice meal together {we usually eat with A} and then we open a bottle of wine and enjoy some quality time together. If we do stay home for Valentine’s Day, I think I’ll take things up a notch by dressing up a bit. Why not, right?!
So why a slip dress? I love a good slip dress as evidenced here and here. They’re flattering, feel glam but not overdone at the same time. Plus, they are super comfortable. Really, they’re as close to a nightgown as you can get lol! While I wouldn’t need the coat and heels at home, I still love the idea of enjoying dinner in an understated and elegant slip dress. I feel like black is always a great option for when food and red wine will be involved. I own this one and it is super flattering.
