Fun fact, I was an English major in college! I love to read and am so so so thrilled that Augustine already seems to have caught the literary love bug. We read multiple books to him a day, these are 20 of his favorites, so we’re always looking for fun new books to read. We found so many cute fall children’s books, that I couldn’t resist sharing them with you. Hopefully the little one in your life will love them as much as Augustine does!
My little boy is two and I can hardly believe it! Where did the time go?! I’m sure I’ll be saying this for years to come, but it still feels very true now. These last two years have been filled with so much joy and happiness thanks to our sweet Augustine. We were so happy to celebrate him the other weekend and, of course, a construction truck birthday party seemed only fitting! Augustine is obsessed with construction trucks and while his first word was Mama, “Boom” was a close second! He loves to make the motion of a dump truck dropping its load with the “boom” noise it makes. This obsession might have started around the time we got this book. Interesting! Anyways, I’m excited to share some photos from Augustine’s construction truck 2nd birthday party, as well as all the details for where we got everything. I definitely couldn’t have done it without help from my sister in law Grace, who has the cutest Etsy shop, and makes the best party invites and supplies!
We’re big on smoothies around here! Smoothies are my go-to breakfast, and sometimes they serve as a great afternoon snack. They’re just so tasty and healthy! I’ve shared several of my favorite smoothie recipes I’ve made over the years, like this summer pineapple smoothie, but today I thought I’d share Augustine’s go-to smoothie recipe. Many of you ask about it on Instagram when you see him drinking it, and the recipe couldn’t be simpler. The best part is that he happily drinks it up and I have a couple tricks for adding some extra nutrients!
