New Years Eve always feels a little bittersweet to me. As excited as I am for a new year and a new start, I get sad about memories from the year moving further away. This year was full with the normal amount of highs and lows, but luckily it seems to have been a lot better than 2014! That year was a tough one over here!
2015 though was full of some wonderful memories and countless trips. From the trip of a lifetime to Alaska, to our incredible Portugal adventure, I’m going to miss all the places we saw and visited. I loved starting the year with a trip to Hawaii (part 1 and 2). It was so nice to get away after the crazy holiday season. I feel like this week Matthew and I have been thinking more and more about planning our next trip. We’ve been to Oahu and Maui, so maybe next time we’ll visit Kauai!
Other trips included going to New York in February and September, Austin in March, Dallas in April, and Lake Tahoe in September. We also took a day trip to Laguna Beach!

This year I really tried to focus more on balance. I started the year getting less than 6 hours of sleep a night, and really burning the candle at both ends. I’m proud to say that I’m ending the year getting much more sleep, though! For the year ahead I want to continue focusing on health being a priority, continue doing my yoga, drinking more water, and being more active on the weekends. Matthew and I are going to try to do one active thing a weekend, whether it’s biking, surfing, hiking, or camping! Wish us luck!
Happy New Years everyone! I hope 2016 brings you everything you ever wanted! Thank you so much for following along this past year. I’m so appreciative of all the support and kindness you’ve shown me. I have some really exciting things coming up in 2016 that I can’t wait to share with you! I have a feeling it’s going to be the best year yet!
