One of the things I was looking forward to about being pregnant this time around was being my “biggest” during the fall/winter. Everyone told me I’d love just wearing leggings and sweaters and they were so right! This combo of an oversized sweater with a pair of leggings became my go-to. Today I thought I’d share some of my winter pregnancy staples – including the best maternity leggings and my go-to brand for sweaters. Plus some shoe favorites that kept me nice and comfy!
FYI: I prepared this blog post before our baby arrived so there would still be fresh posts on the blog while I take some time off with my little girl. That’s why you’ll still see me pregnant or referencing my pregnancy in some upcoming blog posts!
My Winter Pregnancy Staples
I feel like I’ve worn this outfit combo most days in the past few months. Maternity leggings {like my go-to pair} are just a lot more comfortable than jeans. But don’t get me wrong, I CAN’T WAIT to wear jeans again, especially high-waisted denim. I’ve loved comfy sweaters too and I’ve found that Free People makes the best ones. They’re perfectly oversized and I don’t need to size up which is nice! Some of my favorites are this cozy turtleneck, these colorful ones, and this soft one {This one is 45% off! Macy’s always has the best deals on Free People!}
Usually for shoes, I keep it comfy at home in a pair of slippers {don’t judge!}. These ones have been my favorite for the past several years {I’m actually wearing them now!) but I think it’s about time for a clean, new pair. When I’m out and about I still like to wear booties, as long as the heel isn’t too high. I thought this pair matched perfectly with my scarf. I’ve reached the point of no longer being able to tie my own shoes but for sneakers, I’ve been so so happy with this pair! The black and brown combo is incredibly versatile and they’ve very comfortable. By the way, I noticed they’re on sale too!
Being comfortable is my MO these days, so I’m always adding this scarf to my outfits. I have the pink version too (see how I wore it here) and think it will be great for the transition to spring weather. It’s probably the softest scarf I own and I recommend it to EVERYONE!

If you have kids, were you mainly pregnant in the fall/winter or summer/spring? Did you have a preference? I’m thinking that I agree, being pregnant in the fall/winter is a lot more comfortable, although spring and summer makes it easy with all the flowy maxi dresses. You just need lots of AC depending on where you live!
Here are some of my favorite outfits from being pregnant with Augustine during the summer:
The most flattering maternity outfit! (Plus a bodycon dress I wore recently)
