Halloween is next week and Augustine is so excited about our costumes! He’s been asking to be Daniel Tiger for months and since everything came in the mail {so happy I didn’t procrastinate!}, I thought we’d dress up early 1. to make sure everything fit, 2. to have fun at Augustine’s request, and 3. to maybe give you a little last-minute inspiration! When trying to think of a family of four Halloween costume, we kept going back to Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood since it’s Augustine’s favorite {and only!} show that he watches. Plus, it’s perfect that the Tiger family has a baby sister! This was an incredibly easy Halloween costume idea because we only needed a few key pieces to make it work: a red zip-up sweatshirt for Augustine, a blue one for Matthew, a yellow dress and headband for Corinna, and a pink Hawaiian shirt for me. How did we do??

Vacation Staple: Tropical Print Maxi Dresses
Sigh…I’m having major wanderlust feelings but don’t have anywhere to go! Luckily even though we’re homebound this summer, we just so happen to live very close to the beach! Between dinners overlooking the water in Laguna Beach, boardwalk strolls with the little ones, and trips to visit Matthew’s family in San Diego, we have plenty of beach time! I decided this summer to embrace our staycation vibes and indulge in some travel-worthy tropical print maxi dresses, like this pretty one!
My 2018 Year in Review & Highlights!
Happy 2019 everyone! It’s been a really enjoyable couple of weeks spending the holidays with family and friends. I’m so excited for a new year but I have to take a moment {or two!} to appreciate 2018. At the end of December, Matthew and I really enjoy recapping the year, sharing our highs and our lows, as well as looking ahead with our goals for the new year. Today I’m sharing a year in review, along with some of the resolutions I’m hoping to accomplish in 2019. I have to say, 2018 was a great year, but I have a feeling 2019 will be even better!
