October Edit: Fall Colors & Fabrics

Did you all know that October is my favorite month of the year? I mean obviously, I am always excited about Halloween! Did you see our family’s Halloween costumes from last year? They are so cute! I can’t wait to share what we’re going as this year—stay tuned! But Halloween is not the only reason I love October, it’s because in California (born and raised!) it’s when it finally starts to feel like fall. We just got our first bit of rain last weekend and you can believe I used it as a chance to embrace sweater weather.

In honor of my favorite month, I devoted this month’s edit to my favorite fall colors and fabrics! Based on my recent outfits, it probably comes as no surprise that I couldn’t resist this beautiful burgundy bag. It reminded me of the beautiful, rich shades in the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette which I’ve been loving lately. Think of it as the perfect fall version of the classic Naked Eyeshadow Palette.

Of course, I’m a fan of plaid and checkered prints in the fall. I’m torn between these loafers and this skirt! This scarf isn’t shown above, but I’ve been wearing it a ton lately. What can I say? I’m mad about plaid! I also really love the striped pattern on this scarf, the burnt orange shade just screams fall.

I’m always obsessed with a classic cable-knit sweater in the fall. Especially if it’s a turtleneck! I’ve been loving turtlenecks lately. Suede is also a fabric that I always am drawn to in October. In fact, I included some four suede styles in my fall wishlist!

September Edit: Classic Parisian Style

Classic Parisian Style

You’ve probably noticed by now that I have a big thing for French girl style. Luckily, fall feels like the perfect time to embrace classic Parisian style! I wanted to give a little update to the classics though and I think you are going to love the pieces I found!

I already have a khaki trench coat, and it’s a total investment piece that I know I will wear forever. However, I just love the retro vibes on this rust-colored trench. Since the temperatures never drop too low where I live, I think it’s okay to have a couple lighter trench coats on hand!

One of the reasons I love classic Parisian style is because it is so easy and casual. Dark jeans and a white blouse or a simple polka dot dress are great pieces to always have in your closet. Pair these outfits with a simple pair of ballet flats or ankle boots and you’re good to go!

And of course I couldn’t forget about accessories! Berets are definitely trending this season and I was so torn on which color to choose. I was tempted by this neutral dove grey shade, but this pink shade was too fun to resist! These Chanel-inspired earrings come at a fraction of the cost of the real deal. and this quilted Chanel-inspired bag is also a great deal at under $100! And what Parisian outfit would be complete without a scarf?!

Happy happy Friday! Not only am I excited that the weekend is finally, here…but I’m also planning a trip to New York City with my best friend Lizzie! Hey, that kinda rhymed! We’re going towards the end of September, but of course I’m already planning what I am going to wear. There’s a chance it will still be a little hot when I’m there, but I still want allllll the fall feels during this trip. Which is why I wanted to pick some luxe, fall inspired pieces for my August Edit that will keep me cool in case it’s still hot out.

Remember my favorite summer pant? Well I loved the cut so much that I now have my eyes on this similar pair in a camel shade for fall. If it get’s chilly, I think it would be great to have this neutral sweater on hand. I have always loved berry toned makeup for fall {like this lipstick}, but how perfect is this berry colored camisole? It’s such an easy layering piece, but the silk and lace feels so glamorous! And how dramatic are these deep blue velvet flats. So comfy, but so chic!
